Encephalartos kisambo Voi Cycad

Cycad Requirements

Voi Cycad is very slow growing, will tolerate full sun but actually prefers partial shade! In addition to rich soil, the kisambo likes consistent, light irrigation that mimics the dewy cliff faces of its natural habitat.

Cycad Description

Voi Cycad is typically found at altitudes between 2000 and 5000ft above sea-level, and its habitat is currently threatened by deforestation due to industrial agriculture. For this reason it is considered a rare cycad and is popular among collectors, who may also appreciate its rigid, vertical leaves of dramatic, dark green leaflets.

Country/Region of Origin

Kenya

The cost of planting  on your property may vary.  The Pricing includes the plant, cost of delivery, and cost of labor to install the plant.  Availability and pricing are subject to change.  All plants are purchased and delivered in pristine condition fresh from local south Florida Growers. Our plants are pest and disease free.  Regular hand watering or single tree emitter irrigation are required to keep your plants alive for the first year.

Lawn Irrigation and rainfall will not be sufficient for watering.  Your palm trees will require fertilization to maintain healthy growth.
