Palm Requirements

Yahanna Palm prefers protected afternoon shade or filtered sunlight. This palm is considered an under story palm and requires a moderate watering schedule. An irrigation bubbler line will need to be installed with at least 2 good soakings per week during dry season. This palm requires protection from freezing temperatures and high winds which would tatter the fronds. Installing this palm in the proper site location is key to a successful planting.

Pelagodoxa mesocarpa Yahanna Palm is one of the premier exotic palms you grow in lush tropical gardens throughout Naples, Florida.  As a specimen it grows 20ft. tall with a slender single trunk. The Yahanna Palm is near extinction in the wild. There are still wild populations growing in the Fiji, Vanuatu and Marquesas Islands.  Through cultivation efforts you can enjoy this fast growing lush palm in your Naples tropical garden.

Our plants are pest and disease free.  Regular hand watering or single tree emitter irrigation are required to keep your plants alive for the first year.

Lawn Irrigation and rainfall will not be sufficient for watering.  Your palm trees will require fertilization to maintain healthy growth.
